Optimising the career satisfaction and performance of individuals, identification and development of values, teams and organisations through the analysis, desires and needs that exist in the context of rapidly changing labour markets. *Professional athletes from a broad range of sports. *Australian and state sporting associations. *Australian and state representatives. *World, Australian and state champions (senior and junior). *Principal Consultant: Christian has recent experience in working with the following categories of Career Athletes: *Olympic medalists (including gold medalists). We also assist athletes to develop action plans (behaviours) that enable them to take responsibility for their careers and clarify their goals/direction. We provide Career Athletes with resources and strategies that assist in clarifying career goals/direction and expand career decision making capacity. *How we do it: Through the career counselling process, we assist athletes to clarify their career goals/direction and to make informed career decisions. The performance of athletes at any stage during their career can be affected by concerns about what they would do when they retire from elite sport (Zaichowsky 1988). Planning for another career actually decreases anxiety around transition because it allows athletes to focus more fully on their sport (Gordon 1995). Athlete career life span is short. *Why we do it: Research has shown that off field factors can and do impact on athletic performance. We also understand that for most, they are athletes first and students second. We understand that that balance is different for every athlete and at every training/competition phase.
