Our position at the last of Mr booby’s Lane is where we occupy one the many historic bond stores that reflect so much of the early settlement era of Hobart. We look forward to having you make a reservation to dine in our Hobart Greek restaurant. Mezethes means many trivial dishes or to graze and it’s the way we eat at home, a series of little tasty dishes that join to make a meal. At our Hobart restaurant we foster you to sample a range of our customary Greek style dishes, all prepared using the best quality Tasmanian ingredients wherever possible. We cater for all dietary requirements, with many marvelous vegetarian meals. To compliment your Greek food experience we have selected a range of local and imported beers, wines, spirits and liqueurs. Our extensive Food menu can be complimented with our Wine Menu. Made with yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, garlic and dill. hummus The rich flavors of tahini (sesame paste) and chickpeas blended with garlic, olive, bread crumbs and lemon juice. Melitzanosalata Roasted eggplant and garlic with herbs, spices, lemon juice, bread crumbs and olive oil. Olive and sundries Tomato Tapenade (G.F) A mouth watering combination of crushed olives and pureed sundries tomatoes, blended together into a paste. Premium grade beef mince, blended with our recipe of herbs and spices to produce these delicious patties. Served with chunky roast potatoes, tzatziki and salad. Beef mince is lightly salted with onions, tomatoes, garlic, herbs and wine, then layered over marinated and roasted eggplant and potato slices and topped with a sauce of Kefalotyri cheese, eggs and cream. Lightly fried Eggplant, marinated white beans, lightly fried zucchini, marinated peppers, dolmathakia, sun dried tomatoes, tours hi, marinated beetroot, feta cheese and salad, served with pita bread. Fresh lettuce greens, feta cheese, new tomatoes, Kalamata olives, cucumber, onions, spring onions, parsley and dill with a light vinaigrette and seasoning. This one is more Greek than Yiannis !! There are a few entrances to the Square, we can be found at the final of Mr booby’s Lane, fair across from the Fountain and Chess playing area. On Saturdays for the market time only Parliament House vehicle Park is operated by Rotary and parking is at a nominal cost no time limit, other than out by 4 pm.
